Ammonia – One tablespoon of ammonia mix with a half-cup
of water |

Detergent – One teaspoon colorless dishwashing liquid
mix with one cup warm water |

Vinegar – One-third cup of white vinegar mix with
two-thirds cup water |

Step by Step Spot
Removal
Blood:
- Apply cool detergent solution, blot
- Apply ammonia solution, blot
- Apply enzyme detergent, blot
- Rinse with water, blot until dry
Candle Wax:
- Put ice in plastic bag & lay over
wax
- Allow wax to freeze
- Chip off wax with a butter knife
- Lay a brown bag over the wax
- Apply a medium heat iron to the brown
bag, continually moving the iron. Extreme caution is needed
to avoid burning or melting carpet fibers
- Replace the bag as it absorbs the wax,
continuing until all wax is removed from the carpet
- Patience is needed
Coffee:
- Apply detergent solution, blot
- Apply vinegar solution, blot
- Cover with a white towel until
dry
Mud:
- Scrape away as much excess as possible
- Apply detergent solution, blot
- Apply ammonia solution, blot
- Rinse thoroughly with water, blot until
dry
Urine:
- Blot as much as possible if still wet
- Apply detergent solution, blot
- Apply ammonia solution, blot
- Apply vinegar solution, blot
- Rinse thoroughly with water, blot until
dry
Vomit:
- Scrape away as much excess vomit as
possible
- Apply detergent solution, blot
- Apply ammonia solution, blot
- Apply vinegar solution, blot
- Rinse with water, blot until dry
Red Wine:
- Blot as much as possible if still wet
- Apply white wine, blot
- Apply club soda, blot
Fruit Juices or Soda:
- Apply detergent solution,
blot
- Apply vinegar solution, blot
- Apply water, blot
Gum:
- Freeze gum with an ice cube
- Scrape off as much as possible using
the dull side of a knife
- Repeat if needed
Milk:
- Apply detergent solution,
blot
- Apply ammonia, blot
- Apply water, blot
